Vastu for Hostel

It is very important to take care of the Vastu and its various aspects before venturing onto the journey of building a hostel. Here are some general guidelines that must be followed during the construction of a hostel room:

Placement of Bed:

Bed in a hostel room should be kept in such a way that the head lied in East or the South direction while the feet are in West or the North direction. Bed should not be kept near the entrance of the hostel room.

Beam in the Hostel room:

You must make sure to avoid any type of beam in the hostel room and that should be taken care of during construction of the building. But if there is any entrance available for beam then you must take care that, the room has been designed in such a way that students are not directly sitting or sleeping under the beam

Placements of Study Table:

The placement of study room in a hostel room should only be in the East or North direction and it should not be kept near the entrance of the room.

Placement of Windows:

More of the windows should be built in the Eastern corner of the hostel room as that will allow maximum entrance of Sunlight which is a significant ingredient for well being of the students in every area.

You need to make a thorough analysis of the Vastu principles before embarking on the journey of building one. Here is a small list of the aspects that you will need to take care.....

• The shape of the hostel building should be constructed only in a regular shape like that of in square of rectangular shape. Constructing a building in an irregular shape can only result in inauspicious happenings with resulting in the loss of name and goodwill.
• Stairs must only be constructed in the Western or the Southern direction of the whole plot.
• It is in the South-western direction that the staff room, administration office and warden room should be placed.
• Hostel room s for the students must be constructed in the Northwest.
• Toilets should only be constructed in the Northwest direction.
• The placement of canteen should only be in the Southeast direction.
• The garden area should only be in the North-eastern part of the building.
