• Toilet must be constructed a few feet above the ground level, may be around 1-2 feet.
• The entrance gate can be in the Northern or the Eastern direction of the home.
• The floor must be built such that it slopes down towards North or East so that water could flow in these directions.
• Taps or store waters must be in North, East or Northeast.
• You must only make use of light colours.
• Smaller windows in toilet must be placed in West, East or the North walls.

Things you must not do while building toilet in your home

• You should not have toilet's closet under or above the Puja room or where the bed has been placed.
• Toilets should not be built in South-West, Northeast or at the center of the home.
• Septic tank should not be built in the South side.
• The attached toilet should never be built in the Southeast or Southwest corner of the house
