3. Gas Stove

Placement: There must be some distance between the wall and the stove and it should be place in such a way that the cook faces Eastern side while cooking.

4. Refrigerator

Direction: West, North, South or Southeast
Important info: It should not be ever placed in the Northeast direction
If anyway, it is place in the Southwest direction, it must be a considerable distance ways from the corner of the room.

5. Other Kitchen Electrical Appliances (heater, Ovens, Microwave etc.)

Direction: South or Southeast
Important info: Never keep them in Northeast corner

6. Storing Racks and Shelves

Direction: South or Western wall

7. Sink

Direction: Northeast
Important info: All the sources of water like filter must be kept in Northeast direction.

8. Windows and Exhaust fans

Direction: East
Important info: Bigger windows should be in East and the smaller ones should be in South.

Some Important Vastu tips for setting up your kitchen

• Fire: Fire is one of the elements of the nature and the direction related to fire is southeast. And, kitchen must be constructed in the Southeast direction but if you have to take up any alternative then Northwest part should considered but not any other direction.
• Building Kitchen in the North West direction can affect the health of female members of the family.
• Sink must be constructed in the North East while keeping a considerable distance from the cooking gas.
• Put the dining table in the North-west direction and avoid it in the centre.
• The water flow must be from Southwest to Northeast
• Place the dishwasher in the North west of the kitchen
• The exhaust fan should be either in South or in the Northwest corner of the kitchen.
• The kitchen should not be built adjacent to toilet or bathroom and it should not be below or above bathroom or toilet.
• Kitchen's door should never face door of the toilet.
